Learn on TikTok – Educational Content

TikTok, known in China as Douyin, is a video-sharing-focused social networking service owned by Chinese company ByteDance.

The social media platform is used to make a variety of short-form videos, from genres like dance, comedy, and education, that have a duration from fifteen seconds to three minutes (2024 update: it’s now up to 30 minutes!)

There’s no question that TikTok took the world by storm especially when the pandemic hit. People found entertainment from the video platform and have enjoyed creating their own versions of content too.

For this project, I took part in creating and publishing educational TikTok content in 2020 for their #LearnOnTikTok campaign. The goal was to show creators that they can also make educational content on TikTok like they do on YouTube and that TikTok is not only a place for entertainment videos.

Similarly, as the platform continues to invest in short-form and creative educational videos, the campaign also wanted to show app users that they can also use TikTok to learn and be informed.

Now, I continue to share bite-sized career videos on my TikTok account reaching a new generation of audience who are happy to #LearnOnTikTok.
